1. Participant will respect all professional decisions made by the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network and the “Host Country Receiving Organization” regarding the placement process, and will not personally contact the “Host Employer/Association” prior to the final placement decision or start of the program, unless otherwise instructed to do so by an approved IIVN representative.
2. Participant will respect and adhere to all payment and program schedules, timetables, and deadlines determined by the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network, "Host Country Receiving Organization" and/or the "Host Employer/Association”.
3. Participant must IMMEDIATELY inform the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network if they are unable to participate in the program or if they will be unable to arrive in the host country prior to the program start date (cancellation policy may apply).
4. In some cases, participant may be responsible for their own local travel and housing arrangements while in their Host Country, with the assistance of the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network and the "Host Country Receiving Organization". If this is a condition of placement, participant will be advised prior to a program committment.
5. Based on laws governing the Host Country, a participant, in some cases, may not be permitted to work beyond the program end date and understands he/she may be required to return to their home country within 30 days of such date, or as otherwise designated by their Visa guidelines.
6. Per Host Country legal guidelines, participant may not be entitled to extended employment by the "Host Employer/Association" at the conclusion of the program and maintains their participation in this program carries no intent for the same.
7. Participant will respectfully represent the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network and the “Host Employer/Association” at all times. Failure to do so will result in immediate termination of participants program. No refund will be processed!
8. Participant is responsible for fully understanding all program rules and regulations, as well as the consequences if any program and/or placement rules/regulations are not respected.
9. Participant will maintain regular contact with the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network throughout the duration of the program.
10. Program participants must attend an arrival orientation in their host country. Duration and content of orientation will vary based on program and country visited. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the program with no refund of monies paid.
11. Participant must meet all Human Resources requirements established by the "Host Company/Association".
12. Participant acknowledges they are physically capable of performing all tasks required as outlined in the "Host Employer/Association" program description.
13. Participant agrees to abide by all policies and procedures set forth by IIVN, the "Host Employer/Association" , the "Receiving Organization" and the department to which he or she is assigned.
14. Violation of any of the rules and/or regulations stipulated by the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network, the "Host Employer/Association" and/or the "Host Country Receiving Organization" may subject the participant to consequences up to and including expulsion from the program. No refund will be processed.
15. A change in the "Host Employer/Association" is not encouraged. If participant wishes to change "Host Employers/Associations", written authorization must be obtained from the "Host Country Receiving Organization" and the "Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network" PRIOR to any change being made. Failure to follow these procedures may result in dismissal from the program. No refund will be processed.
16. Participant will respect and adhere to the dress code & grooming standards of the “Host Employer/Association”.
17. Participant must attend work regularly and adhere to the work schedule provided by the "Host Employer/Association".
18. Participant will deal confidentially with the information they have access to during the Program at the “Host Employer/Association” and will not provide such information to third parties.
19. Programs do not include vacation or holiday time off. If participants wish to take additional days off during the program period, they must request the time off a minimum of two weeks in advance, from both the “Host Employer/Association” and “Host Country Receiving Organization”.
20. Participant understands that if they are involuntarily terminated from their "Host Employer/Association" or vountarily end their program early, they must leave the Host Country immediately; based on governing laws of the host country. No refund will be processed.
21. Failure to comply with the laws of the Host Country will result in immediate expulsion of the participant from the program. Such expulsion will automatically unbind the "Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network, "Host Country Receiving Organization" and "Host Employer/Association" from any relationship with or obligation towards the participant. In such cases the participant will not be awarded a refund of any monies paid.
22. Participant MUST obtain comprehensive Int'l Travel/Medical Insurance coverage, and MUST provide proof of such to IIVN, PRIOR to departure from their home country. Insurance Resources provided by IIVN are only options for consideration. Participant is not required to utilize any of the resources presented. The Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network does not promote one provider over another and is not responsible for any agreement entered into between our participants and their chosen provider.
23. Participant is strongly advised to bring enough money to their Host Country to cover unexpected/emergency expenses that may arise. For safety reasons, Travelers Cheques or Credit Card are recommended financial resources.
24. I have read and understand the IIVN Cancellation Policy and have had the opportunity to ask questions and obtain advice as to its meaning. I understand this policy is legal and binding. I am capable of reading and understanding the policy in English. I do not rely on any promises, statement or representations that are not expressly stated in this Policy.
25. DECLARATION: I understand this Participant Agreement is legal and binding. I have read this entire document carefully and have had the opportunity to ask questions and obtain advice as to its meaning. I am capable of reading and understanding this agreement in English. I do not rely on any promises, statements or representations that are not expressly stated in this Agreement. I agree to abide by all Program Terms and Conditions contained within this Agreement. *

26. DECLARATION: I understand that, IN SOME CASES, the processing time to secure a suitable position MAY BE up to six (6) months and understand that IIVN does not guarantee placement prior to this period of time. *

27. DECLARATION: I understand that a RUSH CHARGE of $250 USD will be applied to programs starting 45 days or less from date of “Acceptance Letter”. I understand this Rush Charge is over and above the noted Program Fee and is non-refundable. *

34.
