 Cancellation Policy

 

The cancellation guidelines below exclusively apply to monies paid to the Int'l Internship & Volunteer Network for program placement services.

 

Participant must be aware that additional monies paid to any other organization or vendor, for additional services booked in conjunction with a program, has its individual cancellation policy and each will be applied accordingly.  IIVN will not be held responsible for processing or investigating refunds due participant from any other source.

 

 

  1. Application Fee is due no later than three (3) calendar days following date of "Acceptance Letter" and is not refundable.  Fee will be applied toward Total Program Fee due. *Note:  No action will be taken to further process a program application until this fee is confirmed.  In the event Application Fee remains unpaid seven (7) days following the date of Acceptance Letter, applicant will forfeit their program participation.

  1. A Rush Charge will be applied to programs starting 45 days or less from date of “Acceptance Letter”.  This charge is due no later than three (3) calendar days following date of “Acceptance Letter” and is not refundable. *Note:  No action will be taken to further process a program application until this fee is confirmed.  In the event Application Fee remains unpaid seven (7) days following the date of Acceptance Letter, applicant will forfeit their program participation.

  1. Total Program Fee (less Application Fee) is due no later than seven (7) calendar days following submission of the required "Application Fee".  Total Program Fee is subject to Cancellation Policy as further outlined below. *Note:  In the event Total Program Fee and/or Participant Agreement are not received within seven (7) calendar days following submission of Application Fee, applicant will forfeit their program participation.

  1. In the event any payment or documentation deadlines are not met, the Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network reserves the right to cancel the program and retain 100% of monies paid.

  1. All refunds (unless otherwise noted below) have a $500 Administrative Charge over the amount refunded. *Note: An Administrative Charge of $750 applies to programs in Australia.

  1. Programs cancelled prior to a position being confirmed by IIVN will be refunded 100% of total Program Fee, less Application Fee, Rush Charge (if applicable), and $500* Administrative Charge. *Note: An Administrative Charge of $750 applies to programs in Australia.

  1. In the event that the Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network is unable to confirm an appropriate placement prior to the scheduled start date, participant may be refunded 100% of Total Program Fee, including the Application Fee and Rush Charge (if applicable). No Administrative Charge will apply.

  1. Programs cancelled after a position has been confirmed, prior to program start date, will not be eligible for a refund of any monies paid.

  1. Once a program has begun, no refunds will be made A program begins on the first scheduled date of travel to the Host Country. 

  1. The Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network will not be held responsible for cancellations resulting from fortuitous events, acts of God, illness, or personal reasons not considered "extreme circumstances" as determined by the Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network.  No refund will be processed.

  1. In the event a participant has their visa denied by the Host Country, a 100% refund less Application Fee, Rush Charge (if applicable), and $500 Administrative Charge may be given. *Note: An Administrative Charge of $750 applies to programs in Australia. Refund request, along with all supporting documents, must be submitted to the Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network within14 days of denial.  Paperwork needs to be sent by registered mail to the Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network, P.O. Box 574, Largo, FL, USA  33779. If the paperwork is not received by IIVN within the requested time, IIVN reserves the right to deny a refund.

  1. The Int’l Internship & Volunteer Network will not be responsible for carelessness on the part of the participant or any other party, resulting in missed connections, flights, or other events leading to a delay in, or additional costs related to, their arrival and/or stay in the Host Country. No refund will be processed.

  1. All refunds will be processed within eight (8) weeks of receiving the request.
